Front line veteran pays close attention to her patients.

“I love my job!” announces veteran Patient Services Representative (PSR), Leanne who describes PSR as, “The front line of customer service at El Portal Imaging Center.” Because, she explains, “We are the first to talk with a patient who calls in to schedule their appointment and the first to see the patient when they walk through our doors.”
Leanne, who has been with the PSR team since 2002, is passionate about her work. After successfully overcoming a bout with cancer in 2002 she gained a new depth of compassion and concern for all who experience health issues. Like all of Patient Services Representatives she pays close attention to the specific needs of each patient.
PSR team members do their best to ensure that patient appointments are scheduled at times well suited to our patients. Many patients come from out of town. Others are brought in by health care providers. Still others have personal and business obligations. Leanne her fellow team members are sensitive to all of this when scheduling. They also work hard to coordinate with the scheduling needs of the each patient’s referring physician.
After scheduling the PSR team members gather and enter the patient information and their referring physicians’ requisitions (or orders) into the computer system. This ensures accuracy and timeliness throughout the multi-faceted process of the patients’ visit and the subsequent report which is sent to their own doctor.
“There are patients that stop back by to greet us, bring us fruit off their tree, and even drop off flowers.” Leanne smiles as she thinks of the satisfied patients, “I do love my job!”
